The Bay Treasure Chest Association (BTCA) is built on volunteer efforts.
Our weekly toonie draw is a 50-50 lottery, established in early 2014 as a fundraising partnership by five local nonprofit organizations. Additional organizations were added over the years, and the partnership now includes 15 organizations.
Additional nonprofit organizations and community projects are BTCA honorarium groups, with one group a week assisting with the toonie count in exchange for a $600 honorarium to help support their service to the community.
There are nearly 200 volunteers contributing to the work of the BTCA. They fill many different roles, from helping with the weekly count to serving on the Board of Directors and committees.
Our volunteers come from BTCA partner organizations, honorarium groups, and the wider community. And we could not do it without them.
