Hammonds Plains Community Centre
Originally constructed in 1939 as a two-room schoolhouse, the building was converted into a community hall in 1969 and has served as the social and recreational hub of the Hammonds Plains area ever since.
Now owned by a non-profit association, the renovated Hammonds Plains Community Centre is a 3,000-square-foot space with weekly community programs, including fitness and yoga classes, music lessons, Sportball for kids, and a seniors day program.
Revenue from facility and sign rentals helps to support the centre’s building fund and annual operating costs.
