St. Margaret’s Bay Toy Library
The St. Margaret’s Bay Toy Library was founded by six local women in 1987. Their idea was to form a welcoming group of local parents to share ideas, resources, a cup of coffee, and a feeling of community.
The Toy Library’s weekly playgroup brings children and their parents/caregivers together for a variety of sensory and craft activities.
Designed for ages 0–5 years, the playgroup meets every Wednesday, 9-11am, from September through June, at the Safety Minded ATV Association clubhouse on Station Road, Head of St. Margaret’s Bay. Snacks are provided, along with coffee and tea for adults.
Membership also includes monthly field trips, special guest visits, and the opportunity to borrow high-quality toys from the extensive lending library. Field trips and other events provide fun and education for participants and support for local businesses.
Throughout the year, the Toy Library also offers specialized workshops for parents and caregivers on topics like infant CPR and car-seat safety.
